Hello Christa
I think you pretty much nailed it with the perfumes and personal care as gifts
I would like to suggest gift giving vital items to places like Jaguar Rescue Center in Puerto Viejo or many others centers the gift of powdered goat milk for the baby Sloths and monkeys they rescue
I so wish they sold these in the Country but no luck…. It has to be shipped in at about 3 times the cost
I always take a bunch to donate

I am moving to Costa Rica in August. San Jose province area. The people are fantastic and I have adopted a family there after numerous trips. We will live as a family. Her entire family has accepted me and her father has blessed our relationship. She is a single mother of 3. What impressed me the most was how great her children were. They treat as if I was a gift from God. The Country is beautiful like the people.

Thank you for the reply. I am interested in knowing how your friend is now doing after the move to Costa Rica . I am thinking about doing the same soon. I’m interested in learning about what she would say about the positives and negatives of her new living environment in Costa Rica. I’m also interested in what area of Costa Rica she has decided to live in.

I lived in Japan many years ago And it changed my life. It was an amazing place. However, if someone I knew was about to move to Japan, I could help them learn from my mistakes.

There are many things I Would love to have known about Japan before I Had moved there. Simple things like how Best way to buy a car renting house. It’s always useful to have knowledge of others that have Gone before us.

Hello! I have a close friend who is moving from the U.S. to Costa Rica soon. I wanted to get her a gift she can use after she moves, preferably something small like a gift card, but I’m not sure what will be useful for her there. Do you have any advice? She is moving with her four year old; they are both vegan, and will be living near Playas del Coco.
